Christine Blosdale: Your voice is powerful—that’s what I teach my clients. Your voice, your presence… your brand isn’t your logo, your colors, or the font on your website. Your brand is you as a human being and the energy you emit.
SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the Marketing Expedition podcast, an auditory journey through the latest in marketing, branding, and advertising. Now, here’s your Marketing Expedition guide, Ray Allen.
Rhea Allen: On today’s episode of the Marketing Expedition podcast, I get to speak with Christine Blosdale. She’s known as the Expert Authority Coach and is a five-time #1 best-selling author, award-winning media personality, and the host of the Expert Authority Coach podcast.
With over 25 years of experience in personal branding and magnetic marketing, Christine has helped countless entrepreneurs, coaches, authors, and thought leaders get seen, trusted, and paid for what they already know. A former content creator for powerhouses like America Online and Microsoft, Christine brings her signature blend of media savvy and marketing magic to everything she does.
Her coaching style is simple, easy, and fun—and most importantly, effective. Her mission is to help you get seen, trusted, and paid as the go-to expert in your space. As a business coach for women, Christine specializes in helping entrepreneurs in the 35 to 65-year-old demographic move from being a best-kept secret to a category of one.
We’re going to have a lot of fun talking with Christine and sharing what she has to offer. But first, it’s time for your Marketing Essentials Moment—the basics you need to keep building your brand and your bottom line.
Rhea Allen: Today, I want to expand on one-to-many versus one-to-one marketing—and why both matter.
With one-to-one, you have a limited amount of time to serve one person at a time: a DM, a networking conversation, a referral, a sales call, a proposal, a follow-up. It’s personal, but it’s limited by your calendar.
With one-to-many, you grow by communicating at scale: podcasting, speaking to a room full of people, webinars, email lists, LinkedIn content, PR, and advertising. One becomes the engine, the other becomes the amplifier—and most businesses need both.
Rhea Allen: Here are the benefits of one-to-one:
- It’s often the fastest path to revenue if you need clients now
- Trust builds faster
- Close rates can be higher
- You get real-time feedback and objections
- You can tailor your offer to the person in front of you
The drawbacks:
- It doesn’t scale
- Your calendar becomes the bottleneck
- It can feel inconsistent—pipeline spikes and dips
- It can be emotionally taxing if it’s constant outreach
Rhea Allen: One-to-many benefits:
- You scale trust and authority
- Your content works 24/7
- People “pre-trust” you before they ever talk to you
- You create warmer inbound conversations
- Less convincing is needed because they already know you
- You build assets: audience, list, content library
The drawbacks:
- It can be a slower payoff, especially with organic content
- It requires clarity and repetition—you’ll say the same things often so the right people hear it at the right time
A great approach is to take what you learn in one-to-one conversations—pain points, objections, language—and turn that into one-to-many messaging. Clear promises help, like: “I help X do Y without Z.”
Christine does this well: she’s written a book, hosts a podcast, and creates multiple ways for people to find her and engage. We’ll talk about that now. Let’s get into the interview.
Rhea Allen: Welcome to the Marketing Expedition podcast. I’m Rhea Allen, President and CEO of Peppershock Media and founder of the Marketing Expedition community. Today we have Christine Blosdale. Welcome to the show.
Christine Blosdale: Thank you. I’m happy to be here.
Rhea Allen: Christine, I think we met when we were both speaking at a marketing seminar. I’d love for you to share more about your work and how you got to where you are today.
Christine Blosdale: First, I want to highlight how we met—because it’s a perfect example of why collaboration matters. Entrepreneurs, speakers, coaches—anyone with a service—should get involved with summits, panels, bundles, and collaborations.
You’re amazing on your own, but when you join forces with other “superheroes,” you deliver something bigger than you could alone—and you get in front of audiences you’d never reach otherwise. I love collaborations for that reason.
Christine Blosdale: I’m Christine Blosdale, the Expert Authority Coach. I help you get seen, get trusted, and get paid for what you already know. I help you design your expert authority if you haven’t defined it yet, and expand it in a way that feels comfortable.
I’ll never force you into a strategy you hate. I do encourage video—because people need to see you, your presence, your energy—but we ease into it if you’re shy. The goal is simple: get seen, get heard, and get trusted so you can get paid.
Rhea Allen: What made you decide you wanted to help people in this way?
Christine Blosdale: I’ve always wanted to be a teacher. I had great teachers—and a few not-so-great ones—which made me want to do it better.
When I was younger, there wasn’t really such a thing as a business coach or branding coach. A coach was a sports coach. People typically got a job at a company, and that was the path.
I also have a gift: I can see what’s working and what isn’t. Even as a kid, if a picture on a wall was slightly crooked, I’d get up and straighten it. That’s how my brain works—I see what’s “off” and how to fix it.
Christine Blosdale: A big break for me was working for America Online. Back then, there was no Facebook, YouTube, or TikTok.
Rhea Allen: I can still hear, “You’ve got mail.”
Christine Blosdale: Exactly—and that awful modem sound. But it was a new frontier. I got to write an entertainment column for AOL’s entertainment channel, which was huge. I interviewed celebrities, went to premieres, and covered press junkets.
My editor told me, “Your audience is anywhere from 8 to 80.” That forced me to communicate clearly to a wide range of people. I also wrote through a cartoon character persona—Beatbox Betty—which made it fun and creative.
Christine Blosdale: After AOL merged with Time Warner, they cut many of the unique writers. Then Microsoft’s MSN hired me to do similar work.
But after 9/11, I started questioning what I was doing. Entertainment felt shallow compared to what was happening in the world.
One day, stuck in traffic in Los Angeles, I found a community-sponsored radio station. While other media felt fear-based, this station was thoughtful and educational. They helped me understand what was happening in the Middle East in a way I hadn’t heard before.
I went to the station to thank them, and they invited me to volunteer. That opened a door. I volunteered, then became an assistant producer, then moved into hosting. I ended up working there for 20 years.
Rhea Allen: So it started as volunteering, and then it grew.
Christine Blosdale: Yes—and the pay was terrible at first.
Rhea Allen: People think media is glamorous. It isn’t.
Christine Blosdale: Exactly. And I also worked in film as a production assistant—long hours, low pay, huge responsibility. You do what you do to get through.
But through radio, I learned the art of the interview and the power of audio. That’s why I started my podcast 11 years ago. Audio is intimate. Your voice is powerful.
And that’s what I teach: your brand isn’t your logo or your colors or your fonts. Your brand is you—and the energy you emit.
Rhea Allen: Share your podcast with everyone.
Christine Blosdale: It’s the Expert Authority Coach podcast.
Rhea Allen: Can you share a client transformation—how you helped someone go from point A to point B?
Christine Blosdale: I have so many. Some people come for one session, and we focus on one thing—like getting booked on podcasts.
But the biggest transformations happen in my 90-day program. Ninety days creates momentum. We don’t just fix one tiny piece—we look at everything: your website, your clarity, your offers, your messaging. We meet weekly for three months, and the change is massive.
Christine Blosdale: One client was a 75-year-old Reiki master and hypnotherapist, Barbara Savin. She always wanted a podcast, but she didn’t feel tech-savvy enough. I told her we’d keep it simple and I’d guide her through recording, editing, publishing, and marketing.
Now she has a thriving show—the Spiritual Warrior Coach podcast. She’s done 160+ episodes and interviewed incredible guests. She’s spreading her work far beyond her office.
Christine Blosdale: Another client was a gut health expert in Santa Barbara, Julia Loggins. Her work was time-intensive, and she could only serve so many people in person. She was recommending products she didn’t own, so I encouraged her to white label and create her own product line.
We built her products, strengthened her brand, and helped her expand beyond her local market. She now has a TikTok channel that’s growing fast, and she goes live every Monday. She’s helping people worldwide.
Rhea Allen: That’s exactly the one-to-one to one-to-many shift—your impact expands beyond your calendar.

Rhea Allen: Christine, how long have you been coaching full-time?
Christine Blosdale: I started by helping entrepreneurs I met through the station. Community radio runs on fundraising, and I got good at understanding what people truly want—not just what we want to sell them.
People want three things: health, wealth, and love. Wealth isn’t just money—it’s time, freedom, and choices. Love includes self-love.
I used those insights to raise serious money for the station—about $1.5 million a year.
Rhea Allen: That’s a lot more sustainable than a $50 mug.
Christine Blosdale: Exactly. And along the way, I met entrepreneurs whose websites, offers, and messaging needed work. I couldn’t help myself—I’d say, “Your product is great, but your website needs clarity,” or “Have you thought about a book or lead magnet?”
Eventually, people asked to hire me. I kept my day job at first, but over time, coaching became my full-time work.
Rhea Allen: And when you love what you do, it doesn’t feel like work.
Christine Blosdale: I look forward to Mondays. My clients become part of my world, and I only work with people I genuinely enjoy.
It’s an energy exchange. On a discovery call, I can feel someone’s energy quickly. If someone is deeply negative or pessimistic, it makes coaching almost impossible. But if they’re open, ready, and willing to try, that’s my person.
Rhea Allen: That reminds me—I saw a sign today at a massage place that said, “Be mindful of the energy you bring into this space.”
Christine Blosdale: That’s a great reminder.
Rhea Allen: Before we wrap, what words of wisdom would you leave with our audience?
Christine Blosdale: I’ll share four key principles from my book, The Expert Authority Code: How to Get Seen, Trusted, and Paid for What You Already Know. It’s on Amazon in Kindle and paperback. I’m working on the audiobook.
Christine Blosdale: The CODE is:
- C — Clarity: Be clear on your website, social media, and offers. Don’t make people guess. Write at a fifth-grade level if you can.
- O — Ownership: Own what you do. Not ego—confidence. Be able to say, “I’m really good at this.”
- D — Delivery: Choose the platforms where your people are. Podcasting, guesting, TikTok, blogging, LinkedIn—pick what fits your audience and your style.
- E — Elevation: Showcase your wins. Use testimonials and reviews to communicate your value. Let your clients say how great you are.
Rhea Allen: I can’t wait for the audiobook, but I’m adding your book to our office library.
Christine Blosdale: It’s all in there—years of experience, tips, and strategies.
Rhea Allen: Where can people connect with you?
